Dr Bianca Scotney 

Sports Physician Specialist

Bianca completed her medical degree in 2001 at the University of Melbourne. She commenced training in General Surgery before deciding on a career in Sport and Exercise Medicine, which has led to a very rewarding role in caring for patients at all levels of physical activity over the past 13 years. Her previous work with elite athletes and teams has seen her head up major national and international sporting events. Bianca recently retired from 7 seasons as a men’s AFL team doctor to spend more weekends with her own family. She continues in her role on the AFL Doctors Association Executive and providing match day coverage for interstate teams. Bianca is a highly experienced sports medicine consultant and an exciting addition to the MP Sports Physicians team.

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery University of Melbourne, 2001
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Medicine, 2014
  • Dooley Prize for excellence in anatomy demonstration, Oxford University School of Medicine, UK, 2005
